typing error in firefox?

I'm not sure if it is just firefox or other programs, but on my laptop with vista home premium every know and then when I'm typing, the cursors skipps back a line or so. So you type the end of the sentence randomly, in what you just written and it's not contained to one box. Like know it just skipped back to the middle of the title box.his one.

Nope I was being careful and there was nothing near the touch pad and it still happened.

I suppose I should use Ie and see if it happens in that as well.

I get this with my laptop also. Tis bloody annoying, it sometimes just jumps up or down in the middle of typing, the worst is where it highlights text and me pressing the space bar then effectively deletes the text. I too initially thought it was me touching/leaning on the touchpad but now I think it's something to do with keyboard depressions somehow bending/flexing the touchpad which thinks you've done something on it which results in this manic moving of the cursor.
