Typing of the dead

Anyone played this? it's on sale on steam and just wondering if it's any good, would it help improve my typing while being entertaining.
 
Ha. played it years ago. I remember enjoying it but couldn't give you a break down of why.

Like a silly Time Crisis where the keyboard is mightier than the pistol.

Which one is on steam? As I know, one from years ago based on House of the Dead 2 which was also on the Dreamcast. Another released last year I think, which is based on House of the Dead Overkill.
 
The biggest issue I had with this game was trying to pair up with steam friends was very hit and miss. Other than that, lots of fun.
 
The first 2 typing of the dead games based on house of the dead 1 and 2 are fantastic and well worth buying.
I bought overkill on steam and wish I didn't, it's got quite lengthy load times even on a decent spec machine and it seems to have loads of swearing just for the sake of having swearing, it's quite embarrasing to play.

Thanks for that i was about to purchase it.
 
I just tried typeracer. Touchtyping I managed to hit 57wpm with 95% accuracy. Not especially quick, but not bad for me. The top 20 on that site are all reaching 120wpm +
