If a letterhead is created in say InDesign or Illustrator, and it is one you would like to use digitally, is there a way to kind of print onto it?

what i mean is, you can already print to pdf, but is there a way of loading in a pdf design as a backdrop so the final pdf is an amalgamation of the original artwork and the letter that has been typed?

bit abstract i know but it would be quite useful... any ideas?

You can drag a pdf into Word 2003 and 2000, then place it behind the text that you wish to type.

Ooooo, that's interesting :) Might use that in future - I always stick out lovely branded stationery and the letterhead is what lets it all down.
