and the
x2 6000 dual core amd cpu is exacley the same price?
sounds fishy to me

The 4400 is socket 939 and the 6000 is Am2 hence the 4400 being the same price.

i thought they dont make 939 socket cpus no more?
so whys it dearer then the am2?
if anything i woulda thought the 939 socket would be cheaper as the 6000+ would blow the 4400 away?
i have the 4400 and its okish im thinking of flogging it any ideas on what price ill get?

You make a cpu thats top of the range for a few years, but many with lower models can upgrade to this part. You stop making the part and make a better cpu thats faster but cheaper to make. Unfortunately this part cannot be upgraded to by users with the lower previous spec parts, so what happens is those with the rare no longer made part have something that many people want as its cheaper than just buying a whole new platform, do you sell it cheap as chips when you know you can make quite a bit more, or do you get all you can for it?

which is not good lol! x2 on 939 is more expensive than the am2 ones took me forever to get a good wee price on my x2 3800
