tyre change cost

Hi

Having never had this done before how much can I expect to pay for having a front tyre changed if I already have the tyre? I was told by someone today that I would be paying £25 if I take the bike and tyre to a place.

Just out of interest how much would it cost if I took a rear tyre and the bike to a place?

Depends, some places will charge that alright.

Cheaper if you take the wheel down out of the bike.

I paid £20 to have two front tyres put on a few weeks ago.

I know of a few part worn shops that will do it much cheaper

£15 here ride in ride out,used to be a tenner few months back,cheaper if you take the loose wheel in

there good,m.o.t's are £25 i think,£25 or £22,ring em up and ask how much for tyre change first

All the other companies I called in Birmingham said £25 ride in/out for a front tyre that I supply.

I took my rear wheel and new tyre to a local place and was charged £10 for fitting and balancing which I thought was pretty reasonable.

I fitted and balanced the front myself which is easy as it's only a 120 section so I can use my vice to break the bead. The rear is a low profile 190 which won't fit in the vice and is generally stiffer and more awkward to fit.

17 a tyre if I take the bike in and he removes my old ones, 10 if I take the wheel to the garage I use.

£25 in Norwich ride in ride out.

If you're bike is your only form of transport or you don't have a garage/drive as is common in Norwich, ride in ride out is the only option.
