How often do you guys check your tyres for glass/debris/gravel etc stuck into them? is every 3 days reasonable? i am using Specialized Armadillos All Condition Elite at the moment which seem to be tough but have noticed 2 very small holes in my back tyre just a couple of mm wide though but should be fine still to use? (can't see anything stuck in them though)

What tyres are people using too and how often do you get punctures?

Barely ever......if there's something wrong, it'll go flat......that's my mentality.

You'll get cuts etc on them, just part of riding. My gator skins on my winter bike have quite a few marks, still going strong though.

When I get a flat :p

I spot check them occasionally but don't fully inspect the entire tyre. If something catches my eye during a wash or kitting up I might check for others at the same time but it isn't routine other than described.

Yep, until I get a flat pretty much. I've been pretty lucky with punctures. When I've noticed them I have been at home. Rarely when out on the steed.

Back when I was commuting on my Felt F5C into a small industrial estate, I checked the Stelvio Plus tyres for bits of glass at least once per week. These Schwalbe tyres were replaced by Duranos around 2008, I changed jobs and I don't think I've had a puncture on any bike since!
