Whilst browsing IMOC i came across this thread - http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=132134&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

The contents absolutely exasperates me, he's failed in so many ways:
* 18 inch wheels with ultra low profiles isn't the best idea on an MR2 Turbo.
* 215 width tyres = Bad idea - Considering the standard 15 inch tyres are 225.
* Mega budget unknown brand tyre - T1Rs are already budget performance tyres. If he wanted to spend less on tyres then buy smaller wheels perhaps?
* Completely ignores good advice given to him - "im not bothered about that as that is not the subject and like I said earlier I dont want to go into that."

And yet he's still not sure about why his car feels unstable, Mr2 turbos are very tyre sensitive, he's chosen the wrong car to skimp on tyres with.

I think we need to point that thread to those who ask about cheap tyres, but I think most people on here are more sensible than that.

Seriously though, starting a thread just to whinge about what something some randomer from a completely different forum did?

We have countless threads pointing at other forums and the subject matter has been discussed here as well - seems like a completely relevant thread to me.

Not whinge necessarily, i found it amusing also. And one thing that everyone loves is laughing at someone elses expense.

I found it interesting.

On topic, its sheer battiness. My mates old MR2 turbo was twitchy at the best of times but putting skinnier skank tyres on it is suicide.
