Hi All,

Recently I decided to get my rear tyres changed as they had basically not been swapped since I have had the car (2004), plus the rear driver side kept going flat/reduce in preasure after about 2 weeks.

So now I am running with my new replacements and it seems that my driver side rear is still going down in preasure over a period of time.

Any ideas as to what this could be? Im pretty sure I havent been unlucky and got a puncture in the short space of 2 weeks of getting a new tyre???

Cheers

Check the tyre to see if it does have a nail/screw, especially the inner wall, that's a favourite place for the wife who always seems to damage tyres on the inner wall :)

Did they change the valve when replacing the tyre? If they did then the other possibility is that the wheel is buckled or the rim of the wheel is damaged? If none of these then ignore my ramblings.

It does sound more like a valve if this has happened since a replacement tyre, like IAmATeaf said, did they change the valve?

On the other hand, you could be very unlucky and have a dirty great nail in your sidewall.
