You can get a decent set for under £150, plus fitting. Not sure what's so expensive about that, given that decent tyres are one of the biggest things that will stop you from crashing...

You cant even get a decent set for my Octavia for £150. We don't all have 14" steelies. :p

Almost £200 plus fitting for 205:55:16 :(

Check which forum you're in, no one gives a **** what you put on your boring four wheeled box :p:D

I've paid £209 for a set of one of the best tyres available, they aren't something you change often so it's not an issue.

I earn enough thanks, doesnt detract the fact £240 for a set of supercorsa`s last me about 1-2 trackdays and 1000miles on the road :(

Well if you will buy some of the best track tyres that come with a price tag to match and then rag them round a track it's going to get costly :p

No one ever said track days were a cheap hobby.

Pick up some scrubs if you want cheap.

Its a rant....

The supercorsa about 5 years ago were called BSB.... exactly the same tyre expect the BSB was %40 cheaper.... Again its the same tyre same mould tools (apart from the insert for the lettering)

But yes it aint cheap.

Doing a euro one next year as the main hols which should be fun.

I read that the BSB's were a hard compound as they were designed for the road, compared to the normal Supercorsa's which were SC0,1,2 and the BSB is like an SC4 or something like that... thats why they are much cheaper.

And the new SP V2 is now the BSB equivalent?

Hey, at least you have a choice... I'm supposed to be using Crossply tyres, and in an odd size to boot. I pretty much have the choice of two brands, one model each, and even then one of those has decided to replace theirs with a really crappy new version.
My only option is the expensive one.
