Tyre Question

Just picked up a MK2 Ford Focus, but it needs two front tyres. I'm currently looking at getting either two Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's or two Vredestein Ultracs.

Both are similarly priced, but was just wondering if anyone had any experience with either, or if anyone could recommend any other tyres? The tyre size is 205/55/16.

I have F1s on my Mk1 1.8 focus in size 215/45/17. Very good tyre in the wet and dry. I dont know about the Ultracs mate because ive never used them.

You wont be disapointed with the F1s

I had Goodyear F1s on my MG and I was very impressed

I don't know what the Vredestein tyres are like

Ultrac Sessantas are comparable to the F1s, not really the normal Ultracs, and the Sessantas don't come in the size you want.

goodyear F1 asymmetrics are the tyre of choice for the focus ST according to my own experience and the guys at Focus ST OC so should do the job on a normal focus.
