Right. This might seem the worlds most stupid question...

I've just ordered 2 new tyres from EARS Motorsport down in England somewhere.

And im wondering, Will they both be ok for the front of the car? Will the Tread pattern be the same on each tyre for the front left and front right?

Obviously a front left tyre cannot be swaped over to a right front tyre without turning the tread pattern around and stuff.

Hope someone understands what im trying to ask :D

tread will be the same on both tyres unless its something super unusual

you can side a tyre by the way you fit it onto your wheel

Depends entirely on if they are directional or asymmetric tyres or not

Virtualy no normal tyres are designed to be fitted only in a specific location on the car however.

Surely this? Even directional tyres can be rotated to the correct direction at point of fitting. It's only if they are already on the wheel and you start trying to swap wheels from side to side you end up with a "backwards" tyre. If there non directional it makes no odds at all.

Stupid question it was, i know, but i honestly didnt know *Facepalm*

"Asymmetric tyres are non directional they can be placed on either side of the vehicle, left or right side."

Maybe i should have spent more time on google :D

I've never seen a 'left' or 'right' tyre before, don't think they exist do they??

If it's directional, just follow the arrow. If it's asymmetric, follow the 'outdide' marker.

Only becomes a problem when you're moving wheels around on the car without refitting the tyres with if they're directional.
