I need to replace my pretty much bald Toyo Proxes on the front of my Focus.

First of all, one of the tyres has worn *a lot* on the outside of the tyre... this is on the wheel I knocked into a kerb... I guess this is the tracking that is out and is causing this excessive wear?

Second of all, on mytyres.com... they have the Goodyear F1's....

Goodyear Summer tyres EAGLE F1 GS-D3 205/40 R17 80W

Goodyear Summer tyres EAGLE F1 GS-D3 205/40 ZR17 84W XL

What's the difference and which do I need?

And last of all, are these the best tyres I can get for my budget?

Cheers.

well these are like £90/corner on mytyres... don't really want to spend any more than that. Less is always good though... but I've heard these Goodyears are meant to be the dog's danglies... even better than my Proxes... which were bloody awesome...

Cheers.

They are superb, but they can wear quickly if you're a hard driver. Get the tracking sorted asap, it rips tyres apart. Hitting kerbs is bad mkay?

in 2500!

What do you do wheelspin out of every junction, handbrake it into parking spaces and just for good measure do a track day every weekend?
