tyre sizes for a 2002 focus

I'm confused about the tyre sizes.

Everywhere i look online suggests that the tyre size should be 195/55 R15 yet mine have 195/60 R15.

can anyone with a focus shed any light?

Your focus bought new or used? If it was a used car, the previous owners probably put 60 profile tyres on it because they were cheaper.

it had only done 18000 when i bought it, surely it didn't need four new tyres by then?

i need one tyre immediately cos it's flat, but the other 3 will need replacing in about 3-4000 tops.

my just change them all now.

are these any good?

Proxes are superb tyres, you wouldn't be disappointed in their performance.

On my 2002 focus the tyres are P6000 195/60/R15 88V, even in the manual is says this is what they are supposed to be.

I know of my brothers focus (t plate) they are 195/55

They may of changed for the face lift though, 2001 onwards.

It did change, but I dont think they changed with the facelift though, because facelift wheels changed to 16" I think. Not totally sure, but there were two changes anyhow

maybe they are right then.

i need to check my manual.

they do work out a little cheaper but not a great deal.

found the 195/60 R15 proxes in a H rating for £40. Seing as my focus will only do 120 downhill and back wind am i right in thinking that the H rating (up to 130) will be ok over the V rating (up to 150) on the car at the moment?

are the CF-1 different to the TR-1?

H rating should be fine, its what I'm getting next anyway.

the ones i've found are the CF-1's....are they any different to the TR-1s?

ah, they don't do the TR-1 in the 195/60 r15, only 195/55,,,,,,oh well

are the CF-1's any good?

They are still very good tyres. I'm looking at getting the CF-1's for the rear later this week.
