Tyre Sizes

I'm looking for some new tyres, i've already decided on goodyear eagle F1 GSD3's, but i have a query about sizes.
Currently got 205/40 r17 on the rims but the f1's are 215/45 r17, is it possible to fit that width tyre, its only 10mm difference, on the rims ?

I know the height of the tyre is different, the 205/40 are 6% smaller than than they should be, where as the 215/45 are only 1.4% smaller (orginals 195/65 r15).

It shouldn't be a problem unless you're running narrow rims (<6.5") or they catch on your arches or suspension components (unlikely)
