Hey all, sorry about this, I know there's spec, binocular, monacle and dog knows what else threads every day, but I'm just looking for some for the old fella!

He's got a 2002 02 plate Focus Zetec 1.8 TDI, he drives like a saint, but doesn't want absolutely crap, cheap tyres from the local places, but doesn't want to spend a bomb on something above his needs.

He's looking for 4 x 195/60/R15 tyres, if there's anywhere recommended that can do delivery and fitting without costing an arm and a leg, it'd be great, I'm just not sure what is really a good value tyre (:() or where is best for delivery & fitting, any ideas would be appreciated! First new one's he's had to get, the originals lasted 73,000! lol

Thankyou!

I know it seems ridiculous, but the tyres have never been changed, no ideas why and only 1 is past illegal limits, I said to him a few years ago shouldn't he consider new ones and he said they current ones were fine. I know it sounds absurd, but t'is true as far as I can see, he actually seemed surprised they needed doing!

lol, no, its just what he's said, and as far as I know its the truth! :D

If it was an e-peen boost i'd come up with better than "z'omg my 62 year old father makes tyres last foreverz!" :D

Maybe the old duffer got them changed and can't remember, lol, but he swears down they are the originals!

Annnyways! suggestions? ;)

Did he get the car brand new?

i'll suggest my usual vredestein sportrac 3s from camskill.com they are around £45/ tyre but they are brilliant.

Yep, he got the car from new as a company car back in 2002, then bought it when he retired.

Vredestein Sportrac 3's were one of the top two suggest, the other was Firestone SZ80's? I'm thinking to go with the Vreds, but has anyone used the Firestones? Quoted @ £278 fitted for firestones, and £293 for the Vreds at a local place.
