Hiya everyone

I have just ordered two new rear tyres for my boxster . As I went to check the sizes etc for the old tyres, I noticed that they are much more worn on the outside edge, compared to the inside edge .

Is this normal ? Do I need to get the tracking/camber etc etc checked ? Or do boxsters wear tyres like this ?

I am having two 265/35/18's fitted tmrw - Pirelli PZero Assim Rossa N3 Porsche Fitment ( phew ) . Anything to watch out for ? Anything in particular that I should ask the fitting guy to do ?

Thanks

Mehul

Make sure the tyre guy does NOT PUT ANY WEIGHTS on the outside of the rim.

He needs to use stickers to balance alloys.

I get angry when I see those lead weights on nice alloys!

It would probably be a good idea to get the tracking sorted - it won't hurt. (Don't think it'll break the bank since you own a Porka :p)

Perhaps the tyres didn't have the correct amount of air in them who knows?

Alright. . . . next question - I always hear terms like laser alignment/tracking/geometry etc etc

What do they all mean , what do they do ? Which ones do I need to get checked ?

Correct me if I'm wrong but they measure the tracking using a laser and the geometry speaks for itself.
