I'm back baby!
Ever used it?

Trying to decipher this:

Remove the object causing the flat tyre. Position tyre valve at 10 h 10. Deflate the tyre. Shake the can. Rub the can between your hands to warm it up. Screw it into the valve. Tear off the capsule. Hold the aerosol in vertical position. Press the button until the tyre has inflated. Drive immediately 6 to 12 miles. Do not drive exceed 30 miles/hours. Check the pressure as soon as possible.

Object causing the flat tyre = nail
Tyre valve position = ten to ten?
Deflate the tyre - its already flat, how do I deflate it more?
Shake the can, rub it between your hands to warm it = no problem
Screw it into the valve = no problem there's an attachment to allow me to do this
Tear off the capsule - what? What capsule? The closest thing I can see to a capsule is the can, and if I tear that off I don't think it will work!
Hold the aerosol in a vertical position = easy peasy
Press the button until the tyre has inflated - hang on, inflated?? If I could inflate it I'd use the foot pump, not tyre weld...

...but hang on. It says on the can Repare-pnue (remember its a french rotbox) - tyre repair.

Tyre repair?? Have I got a puncture repair kit here?

Is it as simple as screwing it into the tyre and pressing the go button on the can? If so, does the car need jacking up first?

yes yes and no
its just expanding foam iirc so your tyre will inflate by itself, no need to jack up the car

Tyre weld, more like tyre scrap tbh.

Put that crap in your tyre and you'll need to replace it, I speak from bitter experience!

A decent tyre centre should fix the tyre (if its safe to do so) for roughly the same costy as a can of tyre poo.

The aerosol will NOT inflate the tyre to anything like a decent tyre pressure also!

'Orrible nasty stuff!

The nail is right on the corner of the tyre so I'm going to have to replace it anyway :(

Would one can be enough per tyre? I was supplied two by Renault

Iirc, 4 cans in my XR3i's 185/60 HR14 and the bloody thing still came off the rim & wrecked my alloy! (ok, I should have driven it a bit slower!)

This was back in 1990 and I still recall the horrible stuff!

Yuk!

Used a can on my Saxo when I had it, inflated easily enough to get me the 34 miles back home, and to the tyre place the next day.

And yes, it was as simple as attach and press.

Nice one, though I think I'll be limiting the distance as much as possible.

Need to find some tyres now. This month is going to turn out expensive, front pads and disks, rear pads and 4 new tyres :(

Yeah, try not to drive on it except for the necessary journey to get a new tyre!

And I feel your pain, tax, insurance, two tyres, rear discs and pads are all due :(

Alloy or steelie?

Iirc, the tyre place had great difficulty getting the tyre poo off my old alloy wheel - which was knackered, so I did'nt understand why they bothered anyway!

i reeled when i saw this on the grand scenics spec list

20ks worth of brand spanking french MPV ness

and i dont even get a spare ? just a "puncture repair kit".

bah knickers to the frogs.
