Hello forum folk,

quick question.

i currently have 175/65/13's on my car.

a local tyre place has an offer on 175/70/13 tyres, would they fit my biscuits?

They would fit but your rolling radius would increase making your speedo read slightly wrong.

Just looked on an online calculator, at 60mph your speedo would read 58.17 mph apparently.

They would physically fit the wheels but the tyres would be a slightly larger overall diameter (~17mm) so you'd need to check it's not going to cause the tyre to foul on anything (i.e. over full suspension and steering movement).

The increased diameter also means your speedometer will read about 3.2% lower than it does with the correct size tyres.

cool thanks all. its not lowered or anything so loos like it would fit. tidy.

go MOT on saturday and just noticed the 2 fronts look rather worn.

might see if they can do me a deal on the real size in the first instance.
