Just got my car back from its 40,000 mile service to be informed that I now need two new tyres - it's no longer just something they are advising me about, I'm actually on the limit on both front tyres.
So I need two tyres, currently I've got what was factory fitted:

195/65/R15
91H
Dunlop SP Sport 300

Any advice on make/model?
Any advice on where I should be going to purchase the said recommended tyres and getting them fitted (do people come out and do fitting at work these days?)
I need to get the two sooner rather than later and after £350 on the service I'd like to try and keep the cost down as much as possible.
However I only want a premium tyre - I've never believed in buying from the "Unbranded" or "Value" companies.

Very close to what I have on my Mini.

Try your local Indipendant, they will give you prices, and normally get them in next day.

I think my Mini is 200/70/R15

I got a pair of H Rated Pirellis on it and a pair of Conti Econocontacts or something like that..

My local garage fitted the Pirellis about 2 weeks ago for £100 for both corners inc fitting.

Cheers for the replies.
Are etyres.co.uk OK with regards reliability/service etc?
Prices seem very good considering these are "Fully fitted prices" and they come out to my place of work to do the fitting.
I'm not going to go silly with regards cost etc - I simply don't need the very best or most expensive tyre out there.
Budgetting at around £60 per corner seems I've got the choice of:

Firestone TZ200 - £49.90 per corner
Goodyear NCT5 - £52.90 per corner
Dunlop SP200 - £53.90 per corner
Dunlop SP300 - £53.90 per corner
Pirelli P6000 Powergy - £57.90 per corner
Toyo CF1 - £57.90 per corner
Bridgestone ER300 - £59.90 per corner

Any of the above a "better" tyre than the others or are they much of a muchness in this range?

E-tyres have been spot on in the past for both my Dad and I. What they do in my experience is have contracts with local fitting places who do the work for them. Last time they sent out Gordons Tyres to come and fit the tyres for example.

Weird how it works though, given that if you went to the same local fitting shop, they'd charge a lot more

I have the Firestones on my Merc and they are very durable (about 30k a set). They seem to grip well in both the wet and dry, infact the handling is no worse than when it had Michelins all round.

I'm looking for 2 new front tyres aswell. Looking at V rated tryes like the Toyo Proxes and Eagle F1's. I want a decent gripping tyre, like the F1. But unlike the F1's I want them to last a while :D

Was on National tyres website and the only tyres i could see in my size (205/55/R15) were Star Milleniums. Are these any good?
