The missus' wagon needs new tyres. It's an E39 with 235/45/17s.

So far I've found Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas at what will come in at about 95 quid a corner fitted, which seems pretty good.

Am I right in thinking these are decent tyres? Others in the same price range include Uniroyal Rainsport etc. Anybody recommend anything better at <£100 a corner fitted?

Goodyear Asymmetric 2's or Continental SC5's should be around the £100 mark in that size, for the small difference just get one of the best tyres you can buy not some mid range ones.

You can get the Asymmetric 2 for hardly any more than that, which is definitely what I would fit over a now very old Sessenta.

This is a very reasonably priced size. Try lovetyres.com

Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2's

If unavailable and you can't wait

Continental Sport Contact 5's

The Vred's were good tyres 5 or so years ago when they were released, things have moved on since then :)
