Soooo, about a month after some dirty Russian hacked my BF3 account they've done it again to my Uplay account. I just got an email from Ubisoft telling me my first name, last name, gender and email address have all been changed. What a joke.

They suggest logging in to reset the password, but I cant do this. They've reset the email account and it doesn't believe my email is relevant to any account.

Any one got any idea how to contact someone at ubisoft? I only want to play the bloody game I've paid for. Getting fed up with this rubbish.

I'd be formatting and reinstalling my PC tbh... unless you used the same password for both!

Pirate the game... just kidding.

As above, you have a problem. Maybe a virus has found a way onto your system? Reformat and invest in a decent virus scanner/trojan blocker/dirty russian killer

That's what I don't get, I just installed Windows 8 about two weeks ago as a fresh install.

new operating systems generally have more loops in them as anti virus techs haven't found a way to block certain things? or am I making this up.

TBH, this pc gaming malarkey all went downhill the day they required online accounts. What a load of tosh. Wasn't like this back in the day. I cant even find a way to contact ubisoft regarding restarting my account.

So I phoned ubisoft. They took my phone number, someone will phone me within 24 hours. What a joke! So I paid 30 quid to buy a game I cant even play.

You are making it up.

OP needs to sort his security issues before attempting to get his accounts back.

I tend to agree, you don't just have to look after your own PC's security anymore you have to be on the look out for your user/password combos being lost to opportunists by these companies too, which you have no control over other than after the fact.

I'd be changing all my passwords on a brand new install. Cancelling any cards you've used recently as well. You don't know when you lost your details so you have to assume everything has been logged and start from fresh for all important accounts.

I Have only ever once been hacked [Touch Wood] but that was my fault it was in WoW when it first came out many years ago after trying many addons one had a virus.

These days I have a good system going

I have a Pc just for surfing and downloading and emails [ Laptop ]
This Pc [Gaming PC ]only ever looks at this Fourm :) and A few sales sites Eg.. Greenmangaming Origin gog ect thats it

I have one email address for accounts like steam, origin, Uplay and thats the only emails that go to that address so I know if i get emails on that secert address they are from that company.
But I would never click a link anyhow

Anti-Virus I have always paid for a good one [ In my view ] only the cost of one game a year, its picked up on many emails, downloads and sites over the year's

I have in that last few days started getting emails saying my email address on my origin account has been changed but its sent to my main email [I call its spam email address] so I know there not real and even if a virus get on that Pc it cannot get my account passwords :)

I think steam have the best system of all the online retails everytime I do a new OS install I have to get that code to get it working :))
