u torrent qestion

Ok so I was 40% through downloading a 4gb file and found myself needing to reformat my pc, I copied the contents of my download folder and my u torrent folder hoping I could some how jump start it, but it’s not looking good,

Anyone ever done this or know if it can be done?
 
all you need to do is put the part you have already in the download folder

get the same .torrent file, open it in utorrent, and it should check the files itself..

if not, right click the file, -recheck files
 
I've done the same thing in the past, it doesn't work. Works with bittorrent but not utorrent. It checks the file but just doesn't continue.
 
worked fine when i've done it..

copied files from the docs+settings\username\appdata\utorrent folder, and the downloaded part.. and the torrent

-maybe you need to click the 'play/start' button
 
It's most definetly possible, my housemates have moved all of their downloads to a central server without any problems.

Worked fine for me on 4 different torrents already, even torrents started with azureus i could continue to dl where az was with utorrent...
