I've just started using displayport to connect my ~18mo old U2412M because I want a bluray player plugged into the DVI port. If my PC turns the monitor off after x minutes of inactivity the screen goes to power save mode as it should but doesn't come back on when I go back to the PC. I've had to press the reset button to get display back.
I had worked around this by simply turning off the feature to turn off the screen after x minutes and turn off the screen by hand when I get up as is my habit anyway but I just discovered that it also goes to power save when I start the new SimCity. The screen goes blank as the game goes fullscreen but the screen then says no input and goes to power save.
I'm using a mini DP to DP cable plugged into my 7950 and I'm on the 13.5 beta drivers. Any ideas?
