U2711 & U3011 comparison

Hi all,

I have been looking all over the place to see a comparison pic of these 2 monitors side by side to see how much bigger the 30" screen is.

I am considering upgrading my U2711 to the U3011 but I am not sure if it's worth it or not....

Opinions please!!!

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but have you tried Display Wars or TV Calculator for a comparison?

I guess only you can answer that - I'm not a great fan of the U2711's size/aspect ratio/pixel pitch combination and if I were to splash out on an ultra-high-res monitor I'd rather spend the extra for a 30" (although they're all a bit too expensive for my liking).

Yeah I know what you mean, on one hand I like the 16:9 ratio for watching films, as they fit better and have smaller bars ect.

But for gaming I like the 16:10 ratio, but I would only get around £500 ish for the 27 and the 30 would be like £500 more, it's a lot..... need to think!!

Too small mate, I already have the 27", I couldn't go back to 24...

Looks nice, although I have heard not very good things about this company? didn't lots of people have problems buying their monitors and then couldn't get in contact when they were faulty?

I've got a 27" version. That was BEFORE the 30" came out. However, i like my 16:9 ratio, and fine pixels

I think 30 incher screens should be 3000x2000 nowadays anyway!

They went into administration and were bought out once or twice. They now have a much better customer service team, even a guy registered on these forums

Right well my choice is between keeping my 27 dell or getting the U3011, as the novat discount coupon runs out on the 10th, so got to make my mind up by then!!
