Hey,

I haven’t purchased a monitor for a long time but my Dell U2311H just died so I’m looking for a replacement.

It’s primarily used for programming, design and occasional gaming. Budget £400, needs to be height adjustable.

I’m leaning towards the Dell U2719D but does anyone have any better suggestions I may have missed?

Thanks in advance.

You can get the freesync Dell S2719DGF which is a 27" 1440p 155hz monitor for less money (£350 delivered), a TN panel but a very good one.

I have the G-sync version and an IPS Dell Ultrawide, the colour on the IPS is better but not night and day different, doesn't bother me going from IPS on one machine to TN on another.

Thanks for the replies, I had contemplated over the S2719DGF and as much as I would have liked a high refresh rate monitor the colour accuracy just doesn't seem good enough. The reviews list it as a 'good' TN panel, but still significantly less colour accurate than the U2719D. Since this is sometimes going to be used for print design work I don't think I can go for a TN screen.

Its useless for design work. Not worth thinking about, it would be unusable. Great for gaming but not design or editing.
