hi all,

recently got a new samsung u600 on vodafone about 2 months ago. The last few weeks it's been a bit strange. Sometimes when texting the phone will lock up for a few seconds and restart itself. It will do this maybe 10 times in a row until it finally works again.

Any ideas? firmware upgrade maybe?

cheers

Dean

Hi,

Yes it does sound like you've got a fault or a problem there. I don't know that this is a general thing with the current U600 firmware, it could be a fault with your phone in particular.

Your phone is warranty covered so if you were to visit your nearest store we can send it off for repair for you. Any software updates would be applied for you and it would be tested to ensure the fault has been resolved.

Alternatively we can arrange to send out a repair pack to you at your home address. You can do this by either contacting us on 191 free from your Vodafone or by e-mailing us using our Vodafone online contact us form here. If you put the code FIT135 somewhere in the body of your e-mail, this will come to us here and we can arrange the repair pack for you.

Please rememeber to include the details of your account in the fields on the contact form. We also need the make, model and IMEI number of the phone. The IMEI is 15 digits long starting with 35 and is found on a sticker in the battery compartment or by dialling *#06# on the phone and it will show up on the display screen.
