Securom anti piracy on the loose again, how can i remove this file, cleaning my bootup and dont want some nasty **** anti piracy junk on my pc, google gives a lot of comments about how hard it is to remove, anyone know how to eraticate it from my pc, atm its taking up precious ram, and hdd seek time.

EDIT: ah it came with crashday demo from atari (found removal also), grr **** em, for any other users here is the removal:

1. Uninstall the game as normal.

2. Manually delete the game directory (typically \Program Files\Atari\Crashday-demo\

3. Go to Start>Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter.

4. Go to the 'Securom User Access' Service, double click on it, click Stop and then set it to Disabled.

5. Go to \Windows\System32\ directory and delete the UAService7.exe file.

6. Go to Start>Run and type "sc delete useraccess7" (without quotes) and press Enter.

Note: This Service may be recreated by one of your other SecuROM games, in which case you will have to keep it running to play them.

The following steps are very risky and only for people who are certain none of their currently installed games use or need SecuROM:

7. Go to \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ and delete the SecuROM sub-directory.

8. Go to Start>Run and type "Regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter. Then find the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SecuROM] key and delete it if possible.

Note: If you can't delete the registry entries, right click on the regkey, and select permissions... then grant yourself full control. Easy really.

Sorry to sound stupid, but what does the file do?
It allows some securom 7 games to run, like crashday demo ( why the hell do they need protection for a demo anyway ?), but not all games need it, tdu still works fine without it even tho its secu 7, just thedemo installed it for me today.

Reason why I'm mad at it though is because I'm working often to keep windows junk free and it p***** me off when i see such things, i hate that because they want to use a protection that is cracked anyway and then add a bootup service to it, why update the thing ( with a service) in the 1st place, securom 7 code has been cracked for some time.
