Hi
I wouldnt say that ive never overclocked before, but i havnt really been "OMG another 10FSB!" its more like i upped the fsb to 220 from 200 and thats it...However my current system blows, and i need a lot of CPU power. I like to do a lot of rendering, and im not stupid enough to buy a X6800.
So ill go for a e6300 instead, as ive heard it can run faster than the X6800 with Overclocking.

So ive been reading some forums, and ive come up with this:

e6300
Asus P5B Deluxe with the 0507 BIOS
250GB Hitatchi HDD ( I dont want raid 0 as my data is too important to loose, and raid +1 wont help me as i backup offline and online and raptors arn't big enough)(sata 2)
500GB Hitatachi HDD (sata 2)
Augidy 2 ZS sound card (already have this)
Sythe Ninja + or Tuniq cooling

Which ram should i use? I would to get a 1:1 ratio with 500FSB, if my motherboard and CPU allow upto about 530. I would preferably like to spend as *little* as possible however if the only thing which will do this is the corsair 6400c3 ram, ill get that (2x1gb sticks).
Also will a 7950GX2 fit in this motherboard? If not then a 512mb 7900GTX.

Also would i be able to get much more oc if i water cool the cpu gpu and northbridge (i want water cooling more for looks, but if it also helps oc then :D )

The Geil seems pretty good ram for the money

Water cooling will give you a better clock, so if you want, go for it, if you want the looks.

Yes the vid card will fit in the mobo.

Don't know anything about Intel overclocking but i would assume some very fast RAM is in order if you plan to run it at 500MHz!

Also, change your HDDs to Seagate 7200.10 HDDs. They are the best HDDs out and nearly as fast as Raptors.
