Uber eats discount code cons and email spam

Is it just me or do the emails with discount codes never apply to actual purchases?

Just tried to order a MaccyD, with code; FEASTMAY

The mobile app accepted the code but when I go to purchase theres no discount.... so thats a no. from me.

Those codes are for participating restaurants only. Maccies and KFC never participate in it.

No, because it clearly states it’s for participating restaurants only. Its a valid code.

Basically yeah, there will typically be one crappy restaurant that participates in it, and then the service and delivery charges will be so high that you end up with no savings.

That's why I closed down my Uber account last year. Those codes never worked for me. Also, Just-Eat have added the restaurants that were previously exclusive to Uber Eats, so there is no reason to use Uber Eats any more. I'm not sure about Deliveroo though as Deliveroo isn't available in Stafford.

It pretty much is click bait because majority of the time the codes are for places you really don't want to be eating at.

Not in my case. It works at my regular Greek and Chinese restaurants
