Uber notepad search

Of late I've been trying to find a decent memo sort of program.

You know... reminders, links, scraps, pictures and what not. I had a look around and found this...

There seems to be oodles of decent Linux and MacOS software that does the job, but I don't have an Apple and my Linux box is on the blink

So any good suggestions for this kind of thing for Windows?
