Uber problem

Done a quick search and couldn't see anything related so thought I'd ask here.

I've never used it before but could do with a taxi this afternoon so installed the app, problem being my street is fairly new and doesn't show on the map, I can set location with the drop pin but the street doesn't show so it automatically sets the address to the next street, so does that mean if I book it I will have to walk over to that location?

It's not far but far enough that I'd rather not have to.

You can normally move the pick up pin manually.

You can send a message to the driver once someone has accepted your job, tell them that it's a new street and hopefully they'll come to you.

I'm the opposite to you, I actually move the marker away from my house as it's more convenient to be picked up round the corner (at a bus stop on a main road, so you skip the lights that take forever to turn green).

Nothing else you can really do until the maps Uber uses update.

Same problem i have as my flat is on a newly built estate. Usually i just get in a minute down the road where the nearest postcode is. On the way home i put in that postcode and then direct the driver for the last bit.
