Ubi heading to Steam

The developers set a recomended price, not the actual. The price a game is sold at is dictated by the store. Steam choose to sell at the RRP, whereas other places dont. You cant suggest that COD4 MUST be sold at $70 when I payed £15 for it from an online shop... Steam just sell at RRP.

And yes, Farcry is free, but isnt that also America only?

..and that's where you're wrong.

Activision have a deal with *the jungle shop*.. click on any 'Buy' link on the activision site, and watch it forward you to *the rainforest*.

Due to this deal, they cannot sell it cheaper via Steam. Hence, Activision set the price higher on Steam.

If you can find me a single legit source that says Steam choose the price to sell CoD4 at, I'll actually buy a hat, and then eat it, and post a picture of me eating said hat whilst holding some warburtons.

Until steam games are the same price as I can buy a game for I won't be using it. Even then I'd rather have a proper copy if they are the same price. I also hate having to open a seperate application to play my games. Some take long enough to load as it is! Still, it's good news for the industry though.

I love having all my games in one place, I even add my non steam game short cuts there too for simplicity.

Anyhow, back on topic:eek: Dissapointed that we won't be getting the Ubisoft catalogue available here. Will have to pre-order from an online shop and have a hard copy instead.

Not good for my carbon footprint:D

Yep not to mention with your games on steam you can log onto any computer anywhere in the world and play them without discs. I have 3 computers at home so its much easier than running around with discs all the time. Besides if I wanted to run a multiplayer on my 3 machines I would need three discs, but with steam I only need to buy once. If you get steam and use it right you can save a lot of money. Obviously you don't have to buy the games if they are dearer, just buy the ones that are cheaper and buy the others elsewhere.

I'm sure that using the games on multiple PCs at the same time with your friends doesn't really count as personal use :p

Not that I'm really complaining.
