I'm sure i'm not the only person that's noticed this but nearly every Ubisoft title so far has been delayed while the console version isn't.

Driver - Delayed a few weeks

Along the way we did receive a concrete release date for the game, which was previously revealed to be in September and later reported to be August 30 for North America. We're told the Windows version's release date in North America (which is listed as September 6 on every retail listing we can find) is being pushed back a few weeks to September 27th, and that while an OS X edition is still planned, its release date is now TBD.

They got to get that DRM as intrusive as it can possibly be before they knock the PC version out. Ubisoft went down the crapper years a go.

I am happy for pc games to be delayed if it is a decent port. It's so stupid when they release pc versions at the same time as console, but then patch in pc specific feature later. Dungeon siege 3 and crysis 2 are exampes I can think of.

all the other AC games have had last minute months long delays on the PC don't expect Revelations to be any different

Indeed, and they announce the delays very close to the release date. So don't expect to hear anything about PC version being delayed before October.

It could genuinely be all the additional DRM "work" they put into their games. It has to add to the workload above and beyone what normal devlopers do. I really liked Assassin's Creed but cannot support any of Ubisoft's DRM nonsense.

If we likened game developers to a nursery, then Ubisoft is weird kid sat on his own stuffing lego up his nose.

Its fair to say that any future Ubisoft PC games will most likely not launch within a month of the console version regardless of DRM or anything else their PR might say!!

Not like Ubi have many decent PC games anyway so no great loss!! From Dust is ok but nothing more than a tech demo & after 6-10 hours you will not play much again. Driver looks poor as well they may as well cancel on PC altogether!!

Don't hold your hopes up for the new Driver game. Played the demo and wasn't at all impressed, you're not missing out on anything.
