Ubisurfer or Netbook + Dongle?

Which would be best?

A Datawind Ubisurfer or cheap Netbook + Dongle Pay as you go?

Just to use when out of the house, email, facebook Kingdom of Camelot, ebay.

DEFINITELY netbook + dongle.

all the reviews i've read for those datawind "something"-surfers have been extremely negative.

OK. A Netbook it is. But which sub £200 one to buy.

Asus sound good.

Any other ideas. Could be tempted for second hand.

If your just after internet browsing you might wanna look at some of the larger screen smartphones, tho not sure how well you'd get on with ebay on those - mine has an app for ebay but never used it.

Much more convenient and battery life is better, tho downside is the screen isn't ideal for prolonged useage.

I represented (forced into it) DataWind at the Gadget show this year. Let me just say this.. AVOID! They're not worth the money at all, slow, and very very unreliable.
