Ubuntu 10.10 question

The bar on the left, how do I get rid of it as Im using Cairo Dock so dont want this left bar there and cannot find it anywhere within menus...

On the login screen, choose the gnome session rather than the netbook session. Then set up the panels how you want and add the dock.
