Ubuntu 11.04 icons problem

Hi, When I viewed Ubuntu 11.04 from a live CD, I got icons on the left hand side of my screen. When I installed Ubuntu in VirtualBox version 4, I got no icons. Any body have any ideas on how to get those icons back.

I just googled it, you need to install Virtual Box Guest additions.
go to the control centre and open Synaptic Package manager, search and install this:

virtualbox-ose-guest-utils

then restart. It should now work

Thanks Phil, reinstalled and then made the changes, and it works.

I will keep it on, I am in the process of checking it, and what I have seen is good.
