Ubuntu 11.10 install trouble

Decided to install this on my rig, I've got to the install screen twice now. It installed, prompted a restart and then when it came back on I got the purple splash screen. Whatever I pressed it wouldn't load the OS.

I haven't a clue what to do, but it's starting to annoy me. Spent a few hours building the rig, then two days messing with OS's.

Nevermind.

Got there in the end, had to boot in safe mode. Getting windows asap.

Remove which disk?

I installed by USB, still have to load it in safe / recovery mode. Not worth the faff, rest of the family don't have a clue how to use it so we're going back to Windows.
