Hi, not an issue that is preventing me from using Ubuntu, more curious on how to troubleshoot Linux/see if it is something I can fix in a configuration file.
On 20.04, when logged in 144hz refresh is fine, no issues at all. At the login screen however it sets to 60hz. I have trawled the Ubuntu support forums, there is a lot of talk about editing monitors.xml file etc but this seems to only deal with the res/refresh rate when the ui or system has loaded, past the login screen.
not sure if there is a configuration file somewhere I can create, edit that deals with system configuration before an account is loaded? Or if it’s simply the way Ubuntu works.
I tried this and it didn’t seem to change anything https://askubuntu.com/questions/1337646/set-the-login-screen-to-a-different-fixed-refresh-rate
