Ubuntu 7.04 Live CD

No, you can boot and try it out as a Live CD. If you want to install, there's a shortcut on the desktop :)

God im feeling like a ***** here, so i can just put it into my pc right now and itll run? If so then thats pretty tech NO SWEARING. Where have i been for the last year!!!

Edit:Nothing happens when i put in the disk except its pops up with some disk tree nonsense and shows a few pics of ubuntu :/

all you need to do is put the cd in, reboot ** pc and set it to boot from cd 1st and then from the menu select the 1st option, this will boot ubuntu and from there on, if u decide to install it, you can do it from there.

otherwise its just from cd = live cd :)

What did you find difficult about the partitioner? I've never run across a partitioner more intuitive than gparted, including OS X's Disk Utility.

GParted is no longer in use on 7.04 they built a custom one into Ubiquity.

Ah right, the package wasn't installed when I installed feisty (but this was pre-final release) guess that wasn't intentional. :p

Hmm, up to you really... There are a few things (such as flash) that do not have 64bit support.

Make sure you read this before you install it on your macbook though,

Grub in feisty is patched so you don't need to worry about it failing to install to MBR like previously. Not too sure if lpj=8000000 etc.. is still needed but it can't do any harm.
