I've just installed Ubuntu 9.0.4 and I'm having problems connecting to the SGD server at work. I'm hoping to dish this laptop out to staff to connect to work via SSGD, but at the moment it won't connect.
When I try to connect to ssgd via firefox or opera, I am getting the error - "Cannot connect to the Tarantella Client Component on port <random high port number>."
I've tried installing the latest client version of SSGD (from sgdci3li.tar) with no luck, and even tried installing the old Tarantella webtop client in the hope that would work.... it didn't.
It's a real long-shot, but has anyone here managed to get SSGD running on Ubuntu and how did you manage it? Has anyone ever had this error when trying to connect via SSGD.
I've tried to google a solution with no luck - there seems to be a lot of sites that mention this error, but not in regard to an ubuntu installation, or with any real suggestion of how to get it working.
