Ubuntu 9.04 Update

Have you got any addins? maybe one of those is causing it. I woudl try disabling them one at a time and see what happens or disable them all then add one at a time is probabaly better.

Already done that. Its a sporadic issue and doesn't seem to be because of any one web page or task. Can find nowt on net.

If you look in Synaptic, File, History it will tell you what was updated.
This will show if there is a link or if the error is coincidental/profile corruption.

Try creating a new Firefox profile. Or simply put your current profile folder in the Trash and start firefox.

The profile path is usually /home/yourname/.mozilla/firefox/axltwp1c.default
Just rename that folder or whatever while firefox is closed. Next time you start FF you should have a clean slate to test with.
