Ubuntu Dapper + Cisco Aironet = not always wireless

Got an IBM Thinkpad T40 going spare, so I put ubuntu on it. Amazingly, it found absolutely all my hardware fine, and it all works. The only problem is that my wireless card (Cisco Aironet) doesn't appear about half the time when I boot up. I always get the wired (eth0) showing, but sometimes, like now, I have no eth1. It shows on lspci, but nowhere else. The dmesg says:

Any ideas?

Sounds like a possible firmware issue. Have you upgraded the firmware? There is a full list of supported wireless hardware at:
