ubuntu edgy eft - sound doesnt work

neither when i boot up nor inside the os, on youtube etc. I dont think it finds my soundcard, and i cant find it in online specs.

i have a hi-grade laptop. CT1 model. however this isnt listed anywhere on the web.

my device list gives me this lot, i cant identify the audio card / drivers ?
