Ubuntu/mining/wallets

After getting hacked the other day on my windows p.c for my Bitcoin, and many more, I was told to go liunx for all my wallets and dat files....

I have installed, Ubuntu, and downloaded TureCRYPT, but i have no idea how to install it(Ubuntu noob)

All i would like to do, is have that and my wallets on the laptop.

any help would be great, as I have no idea what i am doing.

+1 on this. It's what I do with my Debian installs (on which Ubuntu is based) and one of the reasons I don't use TrueCrypt (as well as it not being completely audited yet).

What if you installed Ubunta and didnt encrypt the home folder, can it be done after?

spent all day going over it, And notice many things were I went wrong. only have myself to blame...

however, am making sure it don't happen agan.

question, on windows I have now got malwarebytes and other AV software...

Does Ubuntu have something like that? can you use Malwarebytes on on linux Machine#?
