Hi Guys

I just installed Ubuntu 7.04 on a dual boot with my XPHome system.

The install is realy just for me as the Wife is a little sketchy even on Windows!.

At the mo I just want to know how to edit the Grub so:

1) Windows is the Default OS
2) The Countdown is 10 seconds (so the wife don't have to wait!).

Cheers
Sim

(PS: I'm posting from Ubuntu... no setup... strait out of the Box! )

Run in terminal:

Code:
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

This will open a text editor for the grub menu. You can now edit the order of the boot menu list by cutting and pasting (near the bottom of the file), and change the wait period from the default 10 seconds (near the top).

*Edited with easier instructions*

Wish driver install was easier. installed ok, couldn't install m-audio drivers, and installing ATI drivers borked my system.

Linux is for nerds.
