When a app. freezes how do you kill it?

Drop into terminal, ps x and then kill the PID (or whatever the number is

)

kill -hup `pidof appname`

xkill cmd should give the ability to click on the offending app too

You can get ctrl +alt + Backspace back by going into system/prefs/keyboard/options

So Xkill will just kill the app, if I click the frozen window?? Did the cntrl-alt-backspace a few ago when it froze, it killed it, just didn't come back & let me log on again.
