I need to send some discs to my brother to get his PC working again.
The PC has an Epox 9NDA3+ S939 board, nVidia Geforce 7600GS AGP card and an Audigy sound card.

I can't seem to find Ubuntu drivers for the board so what are the chances that the board will work with a basic install? He has very limited/no access to the net for updates so everything has to come on disc.

Any ideas?

I've got an MSI S939 board with almost the same spec (SBLive audio card and nVidia 6800GT AGP card). Could I install Ubuntu onto the machine here, install all the updates and just send him the HDD to plug in. Would that work?

He's running a version of Ubuntu at the moment and his main issue is the graphics (I've not seen the problem so can't describe it), but I I guess it needs the update you mention.

I'll try the live CD as mentioned!
