Ubuntu problem install

i've just tried ubuntu install after i press enter to boot it starts text down the screen then it turns black and hangs there

i can see the cd is not spinning & hard drive has no activity

any ideas?

would depend on what your setup is.

my old acer ferrari had issues with installing ubuntu because of the 3 monitor outlets. x was using the wrong one.

My Laptop is an Acer 1680 (radeon 9800)


Going to have a good read to see if i can source a fix
