Hello all,

Trying to install Unbuntu Server on an old computer that i have, It loads the Setup and starts but after its asks you for the network informatation, its goes to a Blue screen

Any ideas?

Ubuntu Server 10.04 and the network card is Intersil Corporation ISL3890(Prism GT/Prism Duttel}/ISL388 and Realtesk Demi Condutor co . , ltd . RtL-8139/8139c/8139C+

quick google bash suggests its not too happy with either of those network cards and people have been messing around to get them worked (after installing ubuntu).
Have you got the net installer or a full offline installer?
 
It doesn't matter too much.
If you have or intend on more than 4gb ram than 64bit otherwise 32 is fine. Failing that just reinstall 64bit.
 
how much ram and what cpu you have you must meet there standards

300 MHz x86 processor
192 MiB of system memory (RAM)
1 GB of disk space
Graphics card and monitor capable of 640x480
CD drive
