I've been trying out Linux on a trial of the latest Parallels version (4560) and got it working well as a test. This is on a Macbook Pro, and the latest Ubuntu iso.
The machine I'll end up setting up is an intel mac mini, we have a full licensed version of Parallels for this but an older version (3186).
Both virtual machines have an identical setup but it seems virtual.hdd files aren't compatible across these versions (really annoying as I thought I could set it up on my machine then take the virtual.hdd to the other)
Anyway, the mac mini linux VM black screens after the PRESS ENTER TO BOOT message from Ubuntu. It just hangs when he initial Ubuntu logo goes. Tried verbose debuggin but can't get anything. The initial Ubuntu screen is different on each Mac, why would that be if it's the same ISO is being used?
Any clues as to why Ubuntu won't work on the Mac mini? SLAX and DSL live distros work fine.
